Southampton 2025

Just to say it was an absolute pleasure to work with you and your team on Saturday in Southampton, the event looked great.

It was lovely working with you again and are looking forward to Leeds BSL.

We loved it!  Your presenter Charlotte was absolutely outstanding, so inclusive, engaging and energetic!  More importantly, yes, we have such positive feedback from the families that came along.

A massive thank you for reaching out to me a few months ago to offer me the incredible opportunity to be an Interpreter at the BSL Party in the Square.  I had the most amazing day supporting Claire and be a part of this event.  I wasn’t expecting to be on the local ITV news but this experience has given me a lot of confidence, the opportunity to network and I am so pleased that I got involved.

And thank you very much for the invitation! It was definitely a unique experience, and your team did an amazing job at making sure that the message was clear and also fun (despite the hiccups with the location). My team enjoyed the show and we have all left the venue with a wealth of new knowledge to share with the rest. On a personal note, I wish they had a big module about BSL in schools, my daughter watched some videos (she's 6) and she was fascinated, she is now trying to learn BSL on her own.

Thank you! It was an absolute privilege to be involved. I was very grateful for the opportunity to have conversations with members of Southampton’s Deaf communities.

I think it went really smoothly from my end. If i had to pick anything, it would be a larger area as it did get busy at times! Maybe a volunteer to help keep the area tidy. I thought it went really well so big thumbs up to you all!

The evening was a wonderful celebration of BSL culture. I felt inspired by the talks by Rebecca Mansell and Peter Brown and enjoyed watching the visual vernacular performance by Ishtiaq Hussain and the film 'One Letter'. It was educational as well as entertaining. Vicky Barber Crimes has put together the Deaf Vision exhibition fantastically well! The artist's pieces look great displayed together. I am so pleased that my donation has helped towards the costs of the BSL Celebration Festival.

Just to say I attended the Comedy event on Saturday and I thought it was wonderful. We loved hosting and I think fair to say the team were very inspired and also acknowledge some things we can do to better support the deaf community in future. Thank you for your hard work pulling the whole festival together.  

Very welcome. I really enjoyed the BSL Fest. Such an important event and it is incredible to see the impact on the local deaf community. I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you for staging an incredible event. Without you, BSL wouldn’t have the visibility it needs.

It was a privilege working with you. The work you put into the deaf community is truly inspirational. I hope our paths meet again.

It was a pleasure to have you guys invite us to the event. The piece turned out very well also, made sure to catch up on it!

I really enjoyed performing and got great feedback wanting more of my performance in the future which gave me positive encouragement so thank you for organising the event , well done for pulling it off!

I have always enjoyed being one of the MC  - such a lovely way to engage with the audience and introduce talented performers on stage! 🙂
