Leeds – July 2025

A green owl with the words "Leeds BSL Fest"

BSL Celebration worked in collaboration with the British Deaf Association to bring you our sixth event (to date). On Saturday 19th July, we hosted, “A Day of Celebration” in the wonderful city of Leeds.

We had many performers and other events, more details are on the programme, please take a look here.

On the day we had various activities including live BSL performances from Visual Vernacular (VV), poetry, lots of rain(!) and more. There was also a guided tour of the museum so you could learn all about Leeds and its BSL history. Along with all of this, we had stalls showcasing Deaf services and businesses.

The event was hosted at City Square, Leeds, LS1 2EH. Overlooked by the Queens Hotel (the home of the BDA Conference), a stone’s throw from Leeds Railway Station and the main Trinity shopping centre.

We were very proud to be collaborating with the BDA as they celebrated 135 years since their inception.
