The BSL Party in the Park was held here. Guildhall Square is a big public space surrounded by Upper Bar Street, one of the main shopping streets in Central Southampton. Not far from this venue, you can visit Southampton Art Gallery which is part of Southampton University. The Square is overlooked by our partner venues, MAST Mayflower Studios and the John Hansard Gallery. Exciting staged programmes of BSL acts on stage, information and interactive stalls showing solutions for inclusive practice, stalls selling art work by BSL signing artists and an exciting Circus Skills workshop. All BSL content was fully voiced over so as to enable clear communication between deaf and hearing people making it to be family friendly and free to all.
